Drawing inspiration from different fashion scenes, framhūs is a meeting point between Scandinavian minimalism and eclectic downtown Manhattan. Each collection represents a specific mood or feeling, playing on the contrasts of an edgy or sensitive approach. This lay the groundwork for a diverse range of elegant yet modern prints; from statement pieces to subtle and chic.
Designed in Norway, with a focus on high-quality fabrics and natural fibers such as silk, wool and modal. The timeless framhūs scarves are made to last, a staple in any woman’s wardrobe.
THE DESIGNER/MARIANNE FRAMHUS
After graduating with a degree in Fashion and Textiles from the San Francisco Academy of Art University in 2001, Marianne Framhus moved to New York to work as a textile designer for Nicole Miller. With great success, Marianne helped shape the brand’s print aesthetic, leading to one of the designs being an instant sell-out after it was featured on the cover of WWD.
In 2005 she chose to pursue a path of freelance and consulting, doing commissioned work for renowned names such as Marc Jacobs, Oscar De La Renta and Ralph Lauren. Her designs have been featured both on the runway and in stores.
Marianne relocated to London’s distinctive fashion scene in 2008, which inspired her to design her own seasonal collections of prints. Designers quickly started to take an interest in her work, increasing her client list of luxury brands.
Marianne launched framhūs in Fall 2018, a collection of printed scarves which expressed her love for print and color, a reflection of her interest in culture, history, art and design.
